Why did my swap quote show a 30 second window but the transaction is still pending after 10 minutes
The 30-second window on your swap quote is a price guarantee, not an estimate of how long the transaction will take. It means the exchange rate is locked for that duration. The actual swap can take far longer because it depends on processes the quote window never claimed to measure.

Status: waiting for your deposit
You send from your own wallet straight to the exchanger — nothing to connect, no account, and you stay on this page throughout. Rates are indicative until a swap is opened.
The swap is carried out by an independent exchanger and the deposit address above is theirs. pigeoninyellowboots.lol never holds, receives or controls your funds, has no key to that address, and earns a referral commission. Opening a swap sends your receiving address, IP, browser and timezone to the exchanger for their compliance checks; we store none of it. Check their terms, fees and country restrictions before sending anything.
Here is why the numbers do not match.
What the 30-second window actually covers
When you receive a swap quote, the site shows a rate and a time limit. That limit is the period during which the rate is fixed. If you accept the quote within those 30 seconds, you get that rate. If you do not, the rate may change. The window has nothing to do with how long the blockchain transaction will take. It is a pricing mechanism, not a timer.
The site does not control the blockchain. It can set a quote window however it likes. The actual transfer time is governed by the network you are using.
Why the transaction can take 10 minutes or longer
Several factors stack up after you accept the quote.
Network congestion. If the blockchain you are sending from is busy, your transaction may wait in a mempool until a miner includes it. Bitcoin can take minutes to hours during high activity. Ethereum layer-2 networks can also slow when demand spikes.
The exchange itself must confirm. The site does not instantly forward your coins. It waits for a certain number of confirmations on the source blockchain before treating your deposit as final. Different assets require different confirmation counts. Bitcoin commonly needs one to three confirmations, each roughly 10 minutes. A single confirmation can already exceed 30 seconds.
Internal processing. Once the site sees your deposit is confirmed, it must assemble the outgoing transaction. This involves checking liquidity, selecting outputs, and signing. That step is usually fast, but it is not instantaneous.
The destination network. After the outgoing transaction is broadcast, it faces its own congestion. If you are swapping to a busy chain, the second leg can also take minutes.
The quote window resets nothing. Accepting the quote starts a chain of events. The 30-second window has already expired by the time the first confirmation arrives. That is normal. The rate you got is still the rate you will receive, because you locked it before the window closed.
What "pending" means during this time
Your wallet or the site's status page may show "pending" for the entire duration. That is correct. The swap is not stuck; it is in progress. A 10-minute wait for a cross-chain swap using proof-of-work blockchains is ordinary. For swaps between slow chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum mainnet, 20 minutes or more is not unusual.
When to treat it as actually stuck
If the transaction has not updated for more than an hour on a normally fast network (e.g., an ERC-20 token on Ethereum during low congestion), you may have a problem. If the source transaction shows as confirmed on the blockchain explorer but the swap has not moved to the next step for over 30 minutes, check the site's swap status page.
What to do while it runs
Do not resubmit the same swap. That can create a duplicate or cause a conflict. Instead, note the transaction ID from the source blockchain. Check it on a block explorer to see how many confirmations it has. If it is still unconfirmed after 30 minutes on a congested network, wait. If it is confirmed but the site has not acknowledged it after 20 minutes, contact support with that transaction ID.
If you need to understand whether your swap is genuinely stuck or just slow, read the hub page "Why your swap is stuck and what to do". It explains how to distinguish a slow swap from a failed one and what steps to take for each.
The 30-second quote window was never a promise of speed. It was a price lock. Your swap is still running. Give it time.
